Q: What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to transportation and supply chain in Canada?
A: My biggest strengths are my knowledge of one of the most regulated industries, which is the healthcare industry, and how transportation of pharmaceutical products is handled in Latam countries. And my solid knowledge of the topics analyzed during all these months studying in the Supply Chain Management program at Mohawk College. I`m a quick learner and willing to present my point of view and experience in the healthcare industry, also I`m customer-focused, and I know that behind a delivery or an operation there is a person with a need to satisfy, being the reason to give my best in each task.


Q: What do you hope to gain from your involvement in the mentorship program?

A: From my involvement in the mentorship program, I would like to know how logistics and transportation are managed in Canada, the applicable regulations, the challenges the industry faces, the use of technology, and the environmental initiatives related to the industry. In addition, I would love to put into practice everything I am learning in the Supply Chain program while networking and getting closer to the industry in Canada, participate in implementing improvement projects in a company, and get a job.
 

Q: What Is your dream role? 
A: My dream role is to merge the supply chain with the healthcare industry and work in daily operations to ensure products are delivered to customers in the right way to positively impact people every day. It should be a role that involves helping people, which is meaningful to me. I would also love to relate with people working as a team, share my knowledge, and have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
 

Q: Are you open to exploring new job opportunities? 
A: Studying supply chain management opened my mind to explore new job opportunities in different areas and industries, as all my experience is focused on the healthcare industry, regulations, and quality.

Q: What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to transportation and supply chain in Canada?
A: As I embark on a journey in the transportation and supply chain industry in Canada, my strong analytical skills enable me to dissect complex problems, identify inefficiencies, and devise strategic solutions. This is important in optimizing logistics and supply chain process for enhanced efficiency. After spending some part of my life in the frontline of the banking industry back in Lebanon, recognizing the significance of customer satisfaction is important in any industry. My customer-centric approach ensures that service delivery aligns with client expectations, this involves not just meeting but exceeding customer needs through effective supply chain solutions. I’m a fast learner and in the dynamic and rapidly changing environment of transportation and supply chain, my adaptability skills allow me to navigate and understand this industry, especially as a new comer I have lots and lots of learning to do in this field. I thrive in environments that require quick adjustments and lots of challenges to undertake. By harnessing these strengths, I am eager to play a role in transportation and supply chain industry, and perhaps one day reach places.
 
Q: What do you hope to gain from your involvement in the mentorship program?
A; Ever since I heard about this mentorship program and I saw a chance to benefit from the Elders and more experienced in this field, this chance is driven by a strong desire for professional and personal development. I hope I gain the industry insight and knowledge about the trends, challenges, and opportunities, the guidance in career advancement, and the networking opportunities with key industry players and leaders.
 
Q: What Is your dream role? 
A: The dream role in the trucking industry is to assume an Executive position that allows me to drive innovation, foster positive change, and contribute to the industry’s overall growth and sustainability.

A:  I have worked in a variety of roles across the supply chain network in Canada and I believe this vast background of knowledge will be very beneficial to any role or business I pursue in the future. My ability to thrive in fast paced environments and bring a positive attitude are what truly sets me apart.

Q:  What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to transportation and supply chain in Canada?
A:  
With over six years of comprehensive industry experience and a strong educational foundation, I am adept in various supply chain facets, from transport planning to warehousing. My commitment is evident in my determination to bring fresh perspectives and effective solutions to supply chain nuances. Having collaborated with international clients at DuPont, I have showcased adaptability and effective communication skills in diverse settings. My roles as EDI Subject Matter Expert, Buyer, and more underscore my versatility and well-rounded skill set.  I strongly believe in sustainable supply chain practices which result in less to no carbon footprints which is something I would closely like to work on with PMTC, given the opportunity and scope of the same. I am dedicated to continuous to PMTC.

Q:  What do you hope to gain from your involvement in the mentorship program?
A:  One of the key elements of keeping oneself updated in their profession is to network with the experienced professionals and subject experts in the field. With the intention of not only knowing about the supply chain practices but also interacting with on-field experts accompanied by my education and experience in supply chain is something that tickled my interests further after hearing about PMTC Mentorship program. This mentorship would also help me develop professionally and personally by helping me upskill and implement the now-arising supply chain ideas and innovations practically on the job.

Q:  What Is your dream role?
 
A:  Since of my key strengths is leadership and coordination, I imagine myself in the operations field of supply chain, particularly logistics and warehousing.  With my expertise in data analytics and reporting, I have previously spearheaded continuous improvement projects and created SOPs to streamline existing processes under the procurement sector.  With the existing knowledge of Canadian and North American market, I would consider myself with an advantage of having worked with multiple companies like Wolseley, WESCO, Flowserve and BS&B.

A:  Yes, I am open for new opportunities and experiences that would help me implement my skills and expertise in the supply chain industry aligned with my interests in operations of logistics and supply chain.

- Successfully transitioned from manufacturing to high-tech, showcasing adaptability and fast learning skills. 
- Proficient in multitasking and collaboration with various stakeholders, emphasizing emotional intelligence.

A:  Being new to Canada, I'm eager to leverage the mentorship to gain industry insights, build a network, and accelerate my adaptation and success in my new professional environment. Ultimately, my goal is to leverage this mentorship to not only promote my personal development but also to make significant strides in contributing to and excelling within the industry.
