What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to transportation and supply chain in Canada?

I bring a strong background in process optimization, risk management, and effective communication to the transportation and supply chain sector. My ability to streamline operations and manage logistical challenges in the Canadian landscape, with its vast geography and varying infrastructure, is a key strength. I also have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and supply chain software that helps in data-driven decision-making, ensuring smoother, more cost-effective operations. Additionally, my focus on building strong relationships with vendors and carriers contributes to smoother coordination and problem-solving when disruptions arise.

What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to transportation and supply chain in Canada?
One of my core strengths is my ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day operations. I focus on long-term supply chain optimization, while also being nimble enough to handle short-term issues that inevitably arise. I'm highly experienced with inventory management, warehouse organization, and ensuring that shipments move efficiently across Canada’s diverse transportation networks. I'm also committed to continuous improvement and innovation, always seeking new technologies or methodologies to reduce costs and improve performance.

What is your dream role?
My dream role is to be a Warehouse Manager in the supply chain field. I’m passionate about overseeing the entire warehouse operation, from inventory control to staffing, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. I would love to lead a team, implement new technologies to improve efficiency and optimize storage and distribution processes to effectively meet customer demand. It's a role that combines leadership, problem-solving, and logistical expertise—three things I am deeply motivated by.

What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to the transportation and supply chain industries in Canada? 
My key strengths include my multidisciplinary background combining healthcare, business, and my ongoing education in supply chain management. I have over four years of experience as a hospital pharmacist, developing expertise in medication management, patient care, inventory management, and operations. I have worked in various pharmacy departments, including ER, ICU, Surgery Suite, and Warehouse Pharmacy. Additionally, my strong organizational and problem-solving skills were demonstrated when I successfully implemented contingency plans during critical disruptions. I am passionate about using this experience to further my interest in supply chain and transportation management. 

What do you hope to gain from your participation in the Mentorship Program?
I want to explore how healthcare supply chains integrate into broader logistics systems and develop strategies that enhance sustainability and operational excellence. The mentorship will provide me with tools to grow personally and professionally, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

What is your dream role?
My dream role is to become a logistics or warehouse manager specializing in pharmaceutical supply chains. In this role, I envision leading teams to optimize the distribution of medical products, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations. This combines my passion for healthcare and logistics to make a meaningful industry impact.

What are your biggest strengths that you are bringing to the transportation and supply chain industries in Canada?
With a background in shipping, I have successfully organized door-to-door services for clients traveling from Africa to distant locations around the world in a timely and efficient manner. My experience gives me a global perspective on international transportation, which is essential for managing Canada’s international trade and its diverse workforce. Given the ever-changing trade agreements—especially with the newly elected president's plans to impose tariffs and alter existing agreements—it is crucial for transportation and logistics companies to position themselves in a way that supports Canadian industry in conducting business outside the United States.
 
I am committed to developing a solution to reduce the empty miles driven by PMTC members, intending to encourage adoption by other industry partners in the long run. I believe that, if successful, this initiative will help lower the costs associated with empty miles for truckers.
 
What do you hope to gain from your participation in the Mentorship Program?
I am thrilled to be participating in the Mentorship Program, as it presents a fantastic opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional in the transportation and supply chain industries. I am eager to gain in-depth insights into the Canadian market, enhance my leadership and strategic planning skills, and obtain practical advice on navigating industry challenges. I also look forward to expanding my professional network and discovering how to effectively integrate sustainability and technological innovation into transportation practices. I am confident that this program will drive my growth both personally and professionally, empowering me to make a significant contribution to my organization and the industry at large.
 
What is your dream role?
My dream role is to become a Supply Chain Director or Operations Manager, where I can oversee end-to-end logistics operations. I envision myself leading a team, implementing innovative strategies, and optimizing supply chain processes to ensure cost efficiency and sustainability. I want to contribute to building a seamless and environmentally friendly transportation network that meets customer demands while reducing environmental impact.
 
I believe that this experience will help me transition into an International Logistics Manager or Global Trade Specialist. In this position, I aim to focus on cross-border operations, ensuring smooth trade compliance and fostering strong partnerships across diverse markets. Working in this role would allow me to contribute to Canada’s position in the global supply chain while addressing the challenges of international transportation.

My tenure at Cargojet Inc., advancing from Ground Handler to Ramp Operations Supervisor, reflects my ability to adapt and lead in dynamic environments. Additionally, my postgraduate diploma in Supply Chain Management from Mohawk College equips me with a solid foundation in industry trends, sustainable practices, and strategic problem-solving.
