The FleetSmart program of Natural Resources Canada helps fleet managers improve fleet performance and reduce operating costs through increased energy efficiency.

The Traffic Injury Research Foundation

The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF;, an independent road safety research institute, received funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan; to conduct a national study on the effect of fuel-efficient driving on crash risk and crash severity in Canada. Findings will be widely shared across the industry to increase awareness of strategies to reduce crashes and crash severity through fuel-efficient driving practices.
