Workplace Safety:
To seek a safe environment in the workplace.

Vehicular Design:
To foster improvements in vehicle design and maintenance.

Training:
To ensure adequate standards of training and qualification for drivers and other operational personnel.

Highway Design:
To pursue improvements in highway design and regulations regarding optimum speeds, vehicle weights, bridge structure, crossing safety, etc.

Occupational Health:
To recommend improvements in the occupational health environment for operational personnel.
 

TO MAINTAIN THE RIGHT TO PRIVATE CARRIAGE:

Uniformity in Legislation:
To seek uniformity in transportation legislation and regulation.

Enforcement and Compliance:
To support the enforcement of, and compliance with, existing regulations.

Private Trucking Rights:
To foster legislation and/or regulation enhancing the rights of private carriage.

Uniformity and Compatibility:
To promote national and international uniformity and compatibility in transportation legislation.

The right to lease:
To protect the rights of private carriers to freely utilize leased equipment and personnel in their operations.

TO ACHIEVE AN ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT CONDUCIVE TO PRIVATE TRUCKING:

Vehicle Productivity:
To pursue improvements in Vehicle Productivity.

Fuel Conservation:
To endorse and recommend fuel conservation measures.

Taxation:
To seek the appropriate allocation of governments' tax revenues to trucking, and to foster their fair and reasonable taxation on the whole.
