The Private Motor Truck Council (PMTC) is the only Canadian association dedicated to the interests of private fleet operators. PMTC provides forums for fleet operators and industry stakeholders to exchange views and resolve issues together, and is at the forefront in representing your views to government, protecting your rights, and promoting your interests.

The Private Motor Truck Council of Canada will be recognized as the leader of the private motor trucking community and will represent the varied interests of that community with integrity and sound business practices.

PRIVATE FLEETS
Private fleets are operated by companies whose principal business is other than transportation, but that choose to operate a truck fleet in the furtherance of that business.

FACTS
PMTC has been the only national voice of Canadian private carriers since 1977.

Private Carriage is the largest sector of the Canadian trucking community, accounting for over 60% of heavy trucks on the road, and these fleets spend in excess of $19 billion annually.

Members include fleet operators, equipment leasors, driver lessors and all types of suppliers to the private fleet community.

GOVERNMENT ROLE
